The Costa Blanca on the east coast of Spain in the Alicante province, is one of the most beautiful regions of the entire Iberian Peninsula. It has around 200 km of Mediterranean coastline made up of beautiful sandy beaches and secluded rocky coves. It enjoys more than 315 sunshine days a year and an average temperature of 18-19C so it's easy to see why the World Health Organisation once named it as having one of the healthiest climates in the world. Thousands of foreigners have come on holiday here, fallen in love with the place and made it their permanent home.

Costa Blanca means white coast, a name taken from the endless miles of beautiful sandy beaches which stretch from the cosmopolitan town of Denia in the north to the popular tourist resort of Torrevieja in the south. The northern part of the region is mountainous, relatively green and peppered with groves of orange and olive trees along with colourful orchards of almonds and cherries. The much flatter and drier southern end of the Costa is famous for having the biggest palm gardens and salt flats in the whole of Europe.
It's a region which offers all things to all people. This is a paradise for golfers and gourmets, sun worshippers and serious party people, families and fun-loving 18-30s. There are big, brash beachside resorts with skyscraper hotels and all-night clubs and there are delightful mountain villages where life seems hardly to have changed for centuries.

It includes the popular resorts Benidorm, Altea, Alicante, El Campello and Villajoyosa. Also a number of smallish resorts such as Albir, Alfaz del Pi, Bonalba, Busot, Jijona, La Nucia,Mutchamiel and San Juan which are particularly popular with Spanish tourists.

The Costa del Sol
stretches along just over 150 kilometres of Málaga province and is one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations. The area's mild climate is the root attraction that makes it possible to enjoy the beaches and a wide variety of outdoor activities year round.

The Eastern Costa del Sol is the the 54 kilometre stretch of coast to the east of Malaga city (the capital of Málaga province). Though highly developed from a property point of view, it is not anything like the property development on the western Costa del Sol.

From Malaga eastwards there are cliffs of up to 200 meters where the Sierra Almijara joins the sea. This section ends at a place called Mara, on a coastal plain. It has an urban landscape surrounded by traditional agriculture.

Nerja is the most important urban centre on this end of the coast and has grown rapidly. Much of the eastern Costa del Sol's accommodation for tourists is found in Nerja, which is surrounded by tourist pueblos. This town also has one of this area's main tourist attractions - the Nerja Caves, a spectacular find that is open to the public and that hosts an annual music and dance festival within its famous caverns. At the foot of Nerja town a winding footpath joins several coves and there are some nice beaches to be found in this area.

The Western Costa del Sol is the 100km of coastline that begins at Malaga city and stretches westward all the way to the border of Cádiz province. This part of the coast is highly developed in terms of both property and infrastructure and it attracts an important percentage of Spain's international tourism. Communications revolve around Malaga International Airport (8 km west of the city) and the N340 backbone coast highway. In the middle of the Costa the greatly improved district road from San Pedro de Alcantara inland to the historic town of Ronda is the most important inland connection.

It includes the popular resorts or Malaga, Marbella, Mijas, Estapona, Calahonda, Nerja and the playground of the rich & famous Puerta Banus, also many other fabulous pictureque Andalucian towns & villages.

The Canary Islands consist of Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote & Fuerteventura.

Gran Canaria is an island of contrasts. It is best known to visitors for its southern coast of developed tourist resorts and magnificent, sandy beaches, bathed by a gorgeous, warm, dry climate. However, its interior is dominated by spectacular mountains and cool breezes. Despite the commercialism of the southern coast, you can still find local ports, harbours and beaches around the rest of the island. They just take a little more looking for.

Most people go to Gran Canaria for the perfect beach holiday and a night life where you can dance, eat, drink and party until the small hours, all year round. The beaches make it popular with families, singles and couples and the island caters particularly well for the gay crowd, too, especially in the Maspalomas area.

Tenerife is probably one of the last European paradise isles. "Fascinating" is the word for this island. It offers lush forests, exotic fauna and flora, deserts, mountains, volcanos, sometimes snow, incredibly beautiful coastlines and spectacular beaches.

Lanzarote is the most easterly of the Canary Islands and is only 60 miles from Africa. Although Lanzarote is one of the smallest Islands it still offers many different attractions for tourists and with a good selection of resorts there is always something to keep you busy.

Fuerteventura is perhaps most famous for it's beaches, with over 50km of stunning white and golden sand. Despite Tourism being a relatively recent phenomenon on the island, there is a well developed infrastructure with Golf Courses, a Zoo, a Water Park and numerous Marine Excursions.
